Did a headphone jack break inside your cell phone, iPhone, iPod, or laptop?
Here are some ways on how to remove the broken p2 plug without damaging anything in the device it broke.
Depending on the quality or the age of the metal part of the P2 connectors…
Or even due to a knock, they can break or fall apart and end up being pieces at the tip of the audio port on your device.
With this, you will not be able to connect another P2 plug to the same input.
And the device will still recognize that something is plugged into it, and you will not hear any sound.
This problem is not rare to happen and is usually caused when the little metal is weak.
So let’s see some tips and solutions that you can use to remove the broken p2 plug.
Using Cyanoacrylate glue (Bonder)
A safe way to remove the broken plug without running the risk of sticking the entry and thus further to hinder the removal is to do the following:
Take a pen and cut a piece of the tube where the ink goes (but in a part where there is no ink, of course).
Insert the tube on the P2 connector that is attached to your device.
Then take a toothpick or needle and apply Bonder glue or similar to the tip. It can even be a small piece of paper rolled up, and that can get inside the pen tube.
Insert the toothpick or needle inside the tube of the pen. Let it reach the broken plug and leave it for a few minutes to dry well.
Now pull the tube with the needle/toothpick to remove the material that is blocking the entrance.
Using a screw
Take a screw that can enter the entrance without damaging it, and after inserting it, screw it in a few times so that the tip will screw into the broken connector.
As soon as you feel that the screw has clamped tightly, pull slowly, and the broken part will finally come out.

Let’s talk about some corrective maintenance tips.
Corrective maintenance
Corrective maintenance is the maintenance performed after the occurrence of a failure. It aims to restore the equipment or installation to reasonable working conditions and after its capacity to exercise its functions reduced or ceased.
You can define corrective maintenance in another way like this:
Corrective maintenance is the technical activity responsible for correcting a fault identified in a specific component of equipment or installation.
What are the advantages of corrective maintenance?
Many professionals believe that there is no advantage in corrective maintenance. However, when the cost of repairing equipment is lower than the prices of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance can be adopted as the best maintenance strategy.
Disadvantages of corrective maintenance.
The problem with corrective maintenance is when it is not adopted as a strategy and just because there are no preventive activities.
We can highlight the main disadvantages:
High costs of labor, parts, and services.
Downtime and installations are inoperative.
Cause loss of production.
Cause accidents, damage to the environment.
